What is a Silicone Eyelash Lift?

The Silicone Eyelash lift procedure has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare, this will last you 6-8 weeks and can be combined with a tint to leave the mascara behind.

Can I come wearing eye makeup?

No.  Remove the eye make up with non-oily cleanser or eye make  up remover, ensuring lids and lashes are thoroughly cleansed and dry, otherwise  rods will not adhere to the lids.

Is a Silicone Eyelash Lift better than the Rod technique? 

Yes.  This new, improved technique is about 100% better in procedure and results. No more sticky rollers that were cumbersome to use and install.  As well, with the roller technique we were unable to see the final results until the end, and then, if they did not curl, there was nothing we could do and the client would need to wait 2-4 weeks for the lashes to uncurl or for the perm to wear off.  Although the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old fashioned perm rollers which curled  back the lashes to the extent of a “Barbie Doll’, the silicone pads used for this  new procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.

How long is the procedure?

Approximately 30min to 1 hour.

How long does the  lash curl last?

Your lashes remain curled even when wet, all day.  It last up to 2  months, the lifespan of your lashes.  Lashes shed eventually and new  growth will go back to normal.  Also, lifted lashes will  eventually relax. 

Will I get an  allergic reaction?

If there are concerns for swelling or skin has sensitivity to certain  products, a free patch test is recommended 24 hours prior to lash lift 

Can I wear mascara  after the perm?

Yes, you can continue to wear mascara after the lash lift. But you will not be able to remove it if you applied within the first 24 after your lash lift. So it's better to wait then you can apply and remove as usual. 
 

How often can I repeat the eyelash lift treatment?

The eyelash curls will begin to drop gradually after about two months. The lashes will take about  2 months to return to their natural look. You can repeat the procedure after 2-3 months and not have to  wait until the entire lashes return to their natural look. Usually I recommend booking your appointment once 90% of your lashes are back to normal.  

Does the Silicone Eyelash Lift procedure hurt?

No, the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.

LASH LIFT AFTERCARE

The great thing about a Lash Lift is that it is a very low maintenance procedure however, there is a little extra care required over the first 24-48 hrs.

​

• Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing. Also going to bed right after a lash lift could result in some lashes getting flat or overly curled. 

• Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 - 48 hrs. (your lash tech will let you know how long to wait) 

• Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes.

• Use of Sauna/Steam is possible after 24hrs but may weaken the effect of the lift.

• No eye make up for 24 hours.

• Avoid waterproof and oil based mascaras.

• Swimming should be avoided for at least 24 - 48 hrs.

• No other facial beauty treatments for 24 - 48 hrs.
