Red Light Therapy Isn’t Just for Your Face

If you’ve been coming to Shoreline Glow Studio for skincare treatments, chances are you already know how much I love my Celluma LED.

You may have experienced it during one of your facial treatments and associate those glowing lights with skin health, calming inflammation, acne support or rejuvenation.

But there’s another side to this technology that has absolutely nothing to do with your face.

Aches. Pains. Stiffness. Sore muscles. Uncomfortable joints.

And this is actually something I use myself.

That’s why I’m excited to remind you that I offer 30-minute targeted Celluma Aches & Pains LED Therapy sessions at Shoreline Glow Studio.

So, what exactly is red light therapy?

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low-level light therapy, uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the body.

Celluma’s Aches & Pains program uses red and near-infrared light. Unlike the red light we can see, near-infrared wavelengths penetrate more deeply, which is why this particular setting is used for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, stiffness and discomfort. The treatment is non-invasive, drug-free and requires no downtime. You simply get comfortable while I position the flexible Celluma panel directly over the area we want to target. Then you relax for 30 minutes. Yes. That’s it.

And yes… I use it too.

One of the reasons I decided to make Celluma Aches & Pains available as a stand-alone treatment is because I reach for it myself. After performing so many facials, my hands can definitely feel the repetitive movements that come with my work. And after years of leaning over a treatment bed, despite my best attempts at good posture and body mechanics, my lower back occasionally likes to remind me what I do for a living. 😅

Those are the times I pull out my Celluma.

I use the Aches & Pains setting over my hands when they’re feeling tired and achy, or position it over my lower back when I’m experiencing stiffness and discomfort.

And that made me realize something.

Why was I only sharing one side of this technology with my clients?

Our bodies carry the evidence of how we use them every day. Maybe you work with your hands like I do. Maybe you sit at a computer for hours. Perhaps you garden, golf, exercise, stand all day at work, or have a shoulder that objects to everything you ask it to do. And apparently there comes an age when simply sleeping in an adventurous position can become an athletic injury. 😂 You don’t have to be an athlete to appreciate a little support for a tired, achy body.

This isn’t simply a facial treatment moved to your knee. This is an important distinction.

Celluma isn't simply a panel of pretty red lights. The professional Celluma technology I use has dedicated programs designed for different purposes. The Aches & Pains setting is specifically designed for pain management and uses red and near-infrared light as its dominant wavelengths.

Celluma LED technology has regulatory clearances that include the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritic pain, muscle spasm and stiffness, as well as temporarily increasing local circulation. And because the Celluma panel is flexible rather than rigid, it can be positioned closely around different areas of the body.

That allows your session to be targeted to you and the area that needs attention.

What areas can we treat?

Celluma Aches & Pains isn't just for knees. Depending on the individual and suitability for treatment, Celluma can be positioned over many areas where you may be experiencing everyday muscle or joint discomfort, including the: Back • Shoulders • Neck • Hips • Knees • Elbows • Hands

We’ll focus your session on one targeted treatment area, allowing me to position the Celluma appropriately and give that area the full 30-minute treatment.

One session or a series?

This is where consistency becomes important.

You are absolutely welcome to begin with a single session, especially if you're curious about red light therapy and want to experience it for yourself. But Celluma's recommended Aches & Pains protocol uses repeated treatments rather than treating LED as something you reach for only once.

Their standard protocol recommends approximately 30 minutes, three times per week for four weeks, although individual needs can vary.

That's why I've created three options:

Perfect if you'd like to experience Celluma Aches & Pains LED Therapy or want an occasional targeted session.

6-Session Package — $270 ($45 per session)

Ideal if you'd like to incorporate LED more consistently while starting with a shorter series.

12-Session Package — $480 ($40 per session)

My best-value option for clients who want the consistency of a more complete treatment series.

Add a Little Light to Your Facial

Already coming in for your facial? You can also add a targeted Celluma Aches & Pains treatment to your appointment. While you’re comfortably tucked into the treatment bed, Celluma can be positioned over an accessible area such as a knee, elbow, hand or other suitable area while I continue with your facial. It’s an easy way to give an achy or stiff spot a little extra attention, without adding another appointment to your day. When booking your facial select Celluma Aches and Pains Add-on

The Shoreline Glow difference

Red light therapy is becoming increasingly popular, and you may be seeing red-light panels, beds and devices appearing everywhere. For me, adding this treatment isn't about jumping onto the latest wellness trend. I've already been using professional Celluma LED technology in my treatment room for years.

What’s new is giving my clients the opportunity to experience another application of technology I already know, use and trust. And just like my facial treatments, this isn't an assembly-line experience. At Shoreline Glow Studio, there is one client at a time.

I'll comfortably position the Celluma over your selected treatment area, make sure you're settled in, and then those 30 minutes are yours. No rushing from machine to machine. No crowded treatment room. Just targeted LED therapy in the quiet, private environment you already know from Shoreline Glow.

Your face isn't the only part of you that deserves a little light.

If muscle or joint aches, stiffness or everyday discomfort have been slowing you down or your body simply occasionally reminds you how much you ask of it, Celluma Aches & Pains LED Therapy may be something worth exploring.

Come in comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area we're treating. I'll take care of the rest.

Ready to give it a try? Book a single 30-minute session for $50, or choose a 6-session or 12-session package for more consistent treatment and package savings.

Because sometimes self-care isn't about doing more.

Sometimes it's about giving the parts of us that do so much a little attention, too.

Celluma Aches & Pains LED Therapy is intended for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, stiffness and discomfort. It is not intended to diagnose or treat an underlying injury or medical condition and does not replace assessment or treatment from your healthcare provider.

Warmly,

Paty C.
