ADVANCED SKIN CARE TREATMENT

Micro-needling is best for people suffering from skin conditions such as acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. Eclipse Pen micro-needling improves skin through our skin's natural healing process.

Micro-needling treatments are one of the most popular non-surgical, little to no downtime procedures, as the skin’s improvement comes from an all-natural 4-week cycle process, in which the skin heals itself. Micro-needling is a safe, chemical-free method that triggers new Collagen and Elastin production and can be performed on all skin colors and skin types.

A topical anesthetic cream is used to keep the patient comfortable during the procedure. The pen works by using tiny needles to penetrate the skin and release collagen over a matter of weeks. As the skin heals, it plumps, it smooths, and wrinkles and acne scars improve drastically.

This treatment is ideal for people who suffer from acne or other types of scars, in addition to fine lines and wrinkles close to the eyes, lips or mouth it also treats stretch marks and skin discoloration.  Injectable fillers can only be applied to certain parts of the face, the Eclipse Pen can be used all over your face — except the eyelids. The wrinkle fillers like botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid filler last for one to two years for example, but your own collagen lasts for 10 to 15 years.

If you are a regular to skin rejuvenation procedures then you are aware of botox and dermal fillers. It is not recommended to have micro needling until at least 3 weeks after Botox and 5 weeks after a filler like Juvederm.  There is not a health risk doing a needle pen treatment earlier but it could have an effect on how the botox and filler work.

Be Prepared for These minor Side Effects Typically Seen After Skin Needling

  • Skin will be pink or red and may feel warm, like mild sunburn, tight and itchy, which usually subside in 12 to 48 hrs

  • Minor flaking or dryness of the skin, with scab formation in some skin types.

  • Crusting, discomfort, mild bruising and swelling may occur.

  • Pinpoint bleeding.

  • It is possible to have a cold sore flare up if you have a history of outbreaks.

  • Freckles may lighten temporarily or permanently disappear in treated areas. However, pockets of hyperpigmentation might get more visible during the first couple of treatments until the pockets get exfoliated and lighten away.  So you might see certain age spots get more darker at first but subsiding after a few more treatments and proper use of after care products that treat age spots.
